Glen Ord Vertical Tasting - 26 May 2020

This tasting consisted of three expressions from the Glen Ord distillery released by independent bottlers:

Glen Ord, 26 year old, 2nd fill bourbon barrel, 46.9%

Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling 77.51: Flower Power Shower

Glen Ord, 15 year old, ex-bourbon hogshead, 49.9%

Bottled by Liquid Sun

Glen Ord, 14 year old, 2nd fill ex-oloroso, 56.9%

Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling 77.43: Japanese Omelettes with Dunkelweizen

Each of the three expressions provided a good breadth of aromas and flavours; however, the 26 year old release from the SMWS was the clear favourite of the evening.
